It’s all in the ohms

As luck would have it, the old steel gas tank came out without much fuss and I was able to spend some time cleaning up the fuel lines going to and from the new tank and EVAP canister which was a good thing. That being said, it did take some effort to get the gas gauge to work right. For those of you who don’t know, the sending unit sends a signal to your gas gauge based on ohms and if you don’t have the right one, your reading will be off. Fortunately, I thought ahead and made sure to get a new sending unit specifically made for the gauge I had and after filling up the tank, everything seems to work now.
