:rock: new to jeepin, getting out from under two wheels :doh: (sold the Harley) traded in for 4wheeldrive, hope to see you on the trails - heading to Moab in a few weeks to break in my 2012 JK Sahara Artic Edition with 3.5 AEV lift, front and rear off road bumpers, 35's, rock rails, misc skid plates and Viking winch.

The winch is lite weight (less than70 lbs) and even more so with the synthetic line and rated at 9,000 lbs. I have it mounted into the first generation AEV front bumper and had to do a little modification to the opening to allow for the control box to be mounted over the motor - I like the look of it that way.

I have not had the necessity to use the winch as of yet in an actual situation but I have used it several times pulling my rig up on incline and letting it down a decline (anchored to another vehicle) and also pulling another vehicle, so that I have a good feel for the winch and what I can do with it. I like its' ease of use and pulling power.
