To some degree, that was my point. They would look a little small with flat fenders. The distance between the tire and fender is about the same as the same lift with 37's and flats. There is a certain proportion of spacing that just looks "right".

These 35's seem beefier on this JKUR than in other pics. I bet it's the untouched fenders, and seems like the Trail Grapplers are 'true' 35's?

I ran mine that way before moving to 37s. IMHO they just don't look as good as 37s...just like 37s don't look as good as 40s. :cheesy:

It's actually a great setup. Unless you wheel on big rocks you will rarely find yourself in a situation where you will need 37s. Plus you do not have all the increased costs associated with 37s. :thumb:

I would say that Moab and the Rubicon have some big rocks, but nothing like some of the huge rocks that WOL and others have been going over with 40's.

Yeah, that's the problem with using subjective terms like big and huge...it's different for everyone. I agree there are big rocks in Moab and the Rubicon, there are also huge rocks there.

I suppose I was referring to more of how often one likes to play on the rocks. If I recall correctly the person I quoted was from back east. If you spend a lot of time rock crawling out west I think you'll grow tired of 35s quickly. Can it be done? Sure. Is it as fun? Not in my opinion. I did it for a while and found myself getting hung up...a lot (I realize the difference in clearance is minimal, but it seems to make a "huge" difference). But that's not to say you can't do the trails (most have bypasses anyway) and there is nothing wrong with getting a tug.
