Old Crusty- 1958 FC170

Chris, I got to tell you man...Every time I see a new entry in this thread it just brings a smile to my face seeing the progress you and Jen make with this beauty. On the other hand, you still look like $h^t. But I mean that in the nicest way, my friend. :bleh:

Lol, I miss you too old man. See you at KOH

Very cool FC Chris! Congratulations on finding it! I just realized you changed your name on here! Cool build bud and hope it goes along smoothly, subscribed.

Before I take it more than a block, I figured it was a good time to check all the fluids. Good thing I did as the front diff was full of oil sludge...ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1392225494.450659.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1392225534.513931.jpg

Hard to decide which one to work on.

Hopefully this weekend I can change the rear diff, t-case, transmission.

LOL!! Truth be told, I'm always leery about changing the fluids on old vehicles that haven't been worked on in a long time. Still, being that this is a project, it has to be done some time.

It leaks so damn much, I wanted to make sure it still had something left. Being that the front has lockouts it has not turned in years anyways.

Guess we'll see what the rear looks like soon.

This is absolutely bad ass. Congrats on the find and you two are doing an amazing job on this machine.

Can't wait to see more!

I was out in the drive changing the tcase fluid in the FC, when I heard someone talking about my jeep.

So I crawled out from under and met an older couple, guessing in their 70's. They started telling me how much they liked my Jeep. I assumed they were talking about the JK. They lady said oh no, the FC.

I don't even think she knew the JK was a jeep. Anyways good conversation in the drive this morning.

If the FC goes missing, you now know where to start looking. Lol

That's pretty cool though. For them that FC probably reminds them of good days. You got cool neighbors.

The drug dealers you were telling me about are in their 70's? What are they selling? Geritol?
