I have the TeraFlex tire carrier. I'm running a 37 " KM2 mounted on a Method wheel. While not as heavy as a Nitto 37 with a slab, it has some heft to it. I had the tire carrier installed 9 month ago or so. The Jeep is primarily used as an Overlander . Lots and lots of washboard roads and whooped out desert tracks. I have had to tighten the lugs on the tire no less than 5 times based on the wiggling of the tire. And yes I have it snugged up on the stops. I called Teraflex and explained the issues I was having as to constantly having to tighten the tire to the mount. I also noted the tire movement when I closed the tail gate. While mine showed no signs of cracking at the weld, TerraFlex mailed out the upgraded mount with the gussets. Huge difference ! The first thing I noticed was that the tire did not jiggle when I slammed the gate closed. Took the Jeep out and ran it pretty hard down a wash board desert track. No wiggle noted in the rear view mirror when moving ! And no loosening of the tire to mount. I'm happy ! BTW - TerraFlex requested I return the original mount.

Enlighten us; how is it that you have a brand new craptastic TF carrier still in the box when you are also running one on your Jeep?

What the hell is wrong with guys ? You guys are that angry & unhappy that you have to show lack of professionalism just because I'm trying to sell something I won ...that somebody else could benefit from. WOW !

Thank you for the explanation Tigrcky . I guess I'm in violation of the rules. I saw , for sale & posted. I'll take my business elsewhere.

So I have new-to-me 35s on my STOCK carrier. No shaking. Shimmying. Nothing. Matter of fact it is perfectly happy there. I do need rubber isolator extensions but hey, one mod at a time right?

So youll excuse me and everyone else here if I do NOT spend $400.00 on a proven liability which essentially amounts to downgrading.

It seems that you're here just to sell the tire carrier. It's been almost a year since your last post... Not a very active member. That's why everyone here is giving you shit.
