Did ATX slabs ever change castings?

So here's my question...
I bought the Spicer UD 60 axles and both read and was told the 8x6.5 slabs wouldn't fit the axles because of the large calipers. I've even read where people needed spacers to make them work. So I ended up buying ATX Chamber Pro II's with 4.06" of bs. I borrowed a friend's slab wheel with 3.5 bs and just for fun bolted it up to the axles, well I have zero issues front and rear. There's about a 1/4" of clearance in the rear between the wheel and caliper and 1/8" on the front.
I'm wondering if atx ever changed there casting on the slab. I'd say the one I have is around 2 years old. I'm really needing more backspacing and don't want to run spacers. I'm hitting my frame and front 1/4 pounder. I could just limit my steering but like how sharp it turns right now. I would love to gain the extra .5 of backspacing but I'm wondering if a new slab would still fit the same.

I got a good deal on the same axles through my local dealer. I also heard that the Slabs would not fit, and was considering the Chamber Pro II or Method 101 beadlocks. Your saying that with the UD60 axles and Chamber Pros you're getting tire rub on the bumper? What suspension are you running? These axles are already a half inch wider than the standard 68.5" Dynatrac axles, which I'd figure would even out with the 4" back spacing on the chamber pros.

That was my exact thought also, that's why I thought I'd be good with the 4" of bs. The issue is the ud60s must turn shaper then the Dynatrac 60's. I'm running evo king coilovers for my lift with Nitto TG 40's.

I bought some a few months back and they had 3.5" backspacing so unless they changed it very recently(even if they did you would probably be getting the old casting ones) you will be fine.

Following this thread as I'm looking at UD60s and was going Walker Evans since I heard slabs didn't fit.
It is my understanding with slabs that the issue is not the backspacing but the thickness of the casting that makes the inside diameter not clear the large brake setup on the UD60s.

I'd like to know if the casting changed at some time as well if the OP has a slab that fits.

OP - nice build thread! :)

Anyone have an inside at ATX to call?

I can't see the brakes on these axles being larger than the F-450 upgrade option on the PR-60 and PR80 axles which fit fine.

Yes, Dynatrac has done a better job at picking 14.5" brakes with twin piston calipers that are compatible with a 17" wheel. The Spicer UD60 axles use off the shelf Ram 3500 dually brakes, and that truck comes with 18" wheels standard, and is a tight fit with just about all 17" wheels.

Yeah, I wish spicer would have used the F-series calipers but they chose the Ram 3500s which are larger calipers causing 17" wheel issues.
I'm pleased with the stopping power but still unsure about what will work, so back to the original question. Does anyone know if the slab wheels ever changed? I'm talking about the inner wheel casting area.

Not that I know of and I know the guys at ATX. They are the same wheels as they've always been even back when they were just Spyderlocs only now without the star.

I have a 3d scanner. I'll tell you their exact dimensions, and then trim them down perfect. lol, come on, nothing bad could possibly happen.
