We thought about it more for the hiking and outdoors than wheeling. My wife's grandparents used top work/volunteer out at big bend, and she's been wanting to get back out there, and I've never been.

We thought Christmas time might work, so we didn't have to commit to spending time with either of our extended families, lol.

Same reason we like going to the Cowboys' thanksgiving day games ;)

Usually me challenging myself doesnt end well either [emoji23]

Thats pretty awesome! Hell honestly, it looks like the hiking would probably be funner than the wheeling. And isnt the Guadalupe Mtn really close to Big Bend? Ive been wanting to check that place out too since it has the highest elevation in Tx. Its on the bucket list :thumb:

Guadalupe near Big Bend? That's all relative. Few hours north but out there that's like a drive to the corner store. Would love to go there.

Guadalupe is on my list as well ....... with a side trip over to Carlsbad caverns , was gonna do it this past spring but it fell through ... someone I know has been out there hiking a bunch an was gonna take the trip and show me around but had family problems so couldn't do it so wound up out just messing about the house

Hey guys, been on a little hiatus for the past couple months, personal reasons.! Tom let me know on FB last week about the run. I will try and make it, won't know if I can or not till the week of. Recently rear ended a lady, my Jeep is fine of course [emoji28] but getting my pods on my bumper replaced due to then being the only thing really that got damaged. And gotta get a new set of tires 2 tires already have plugs and tread is getting low. But hopefully I can make it and make a return to Wayalife forums here soon [emoji106]🏽

Edit: just noticed this a unofficial trip thread. 🙄 so most likely will make the official trip, just due to having a bit more time to get things ironed out.

This trip is more of a first pass, and the official is a second pass... some people couldnt make whichever date for whichever reason, so here we are with two trips. :thumb: Welcome back!

I can't wait for this trip! Next weekend is gonna be awesome. Looking forward to seeing everyone. I'll be out early Saturday morning and be out there all day and will head home at some point that night.

Is anyone bringing their dog? I maybe bringing the massive horse with me. He has gotten so huge.
