RCV Axle Shafts

I'm about to buy axle shafts for my Rubi 44 and I've been leaning towards RCVs. There use to be something about them clicking in turns and splines being twisted. Has anybody running RCVs had that issue?

you'll hear alot of mixed reviews, I wasn't going to get them but ended up with the 35spline when the process was about equal to a u joint style based on a few corcumstamces. but I like mine, haven't had any issues whatsoever or noises.

You should see this thread: http://wayalife.com/showthread.php?32433-Axle-suggestions

It's more of an issue of them saying it is normal rather than fixing it.

Now that Dynatrac has shafts, I would go with them based on their customer service and striving for quality. I have no experience with their shafts as they are sitting in my garage right now still waiting for install. :D

I had RCVs in my D30 and I have them in my HP44 also. Personally, I have had zero issues with them, and I know other people who have wheeled them hard and they too have had zero issues with them.

I've got the 35-spline RCV's in my front. They've been solid for me so far, no issues whatsoever. But yes, read that thread and make the ultimate decision for yourself. If I was to do it over again, I most likely would have went with dynatrac shafts and saved some dough.

I believe they just started this year. (Correction below). They're beefy looking, that's for sure. Chromoly, 1350s, full circle clips. May want to check with them on warranty if you're curious, I'm not sure what they offer for shafts.

Edit: Last year. http://wayalife.com/showthread.php?32051-2015-SEMA-Dynatrac-Jeep-JK-Wrangler-JK44-Pro-Axle-Shafts And they do come with full circle clips now.

After reading several threads I think I'm just going to stick to a full circle clip style u joint chromo now. Also a little worried with rcvs that a 44 ring gear would go before a shaft

One thing to note, but check with Dynatrac to confirm, they only offer the front shafts in 30 spline. I assume that will work for you, but if for some reason, you already have a 35 spline ARB or something, they do not have the Dynatrac shafts for 35 spline front.

Give Revolution a look to. They have a great warranty with many good reviews. I believe they are entirely USA made as well.
Ha! Coz beat me to the recommendation! [emoji51]

They must have changed then cause last time I was in need of some (2ish year ago) they were 4130. Good to know they upgraded. Would still look at the revolutions tho solely on the lifetime warranty
Oh yeah the lifetime warranty is definitely a deal breaker and I do believe the u joints are bigger too.
