Well it was a fun 45 days at home wheeling the Jeep, but I'm back at work now in Kabul for another 90 days or so. Next time I'm home I'll hopefully get a cage installed, and maybe get a few other small things done.

Going to go with the EVO cage or the RH?

I get back home to the USA again in less than a month, so time to start ordering parts again! Already ordered a ORO third brake light/license plate light. In the next week or so I'm planning on ordering the MCE Gen II narrow flares, Rockhard sport cage w/ rear section and C pillar bars, Evo Mfg sliders, and maybe the Advance Adapters transfer case cable upgrade kit. Can't wait to get home, install all this stuff, and get out on the trails again!

Sounds like you've been chomping at the bit to get back home LOL!

Looking forward to see the new mods installed :thumb:

It's not so much that I don't like the Evo cage. I prefer the Rockhard cage with the grab handles and traditional round tubing. The sport cage is really only to hold me over until I can do the weld in cage. I still plan to do the weld in cage from Offroad Evolution when I return home to the US for good. I just don't want to have my Jeep sit in the shop for 2-3weeks for a cage installation when I'm only home from work for 30 days at a time, 3 times per year. I use the hell out of my Jeep those 30 days that I am home so having it in a shop for most of that would drive me nuts.

Nice sounds fair enough. And oh yea that would suck at work dreaming about driving it for 3 months then coming home only to drive it a only couple days then back out.

Took advantage of some Black Friday sales the last two days and ordered the Rockhard sport cage with the free C pillar kit, and also ordered a 20lb Powertank B package with the free hose bag, free upgrade to the digital tire inflator, and free shipping! Also ordered a new LG OLED 55" tv on sale as well so I'll have to pass on the flares, xfer case cable, and sliders for now. I'll likely still pick up a set of the weld-on sliders in person from Offroad Evolution when I take my kids to Disneyland in early January.

Can't wait to see more upgrades to this beast!
How are u liking the builder corners? I'm debating on those or the regular corners.

I love the builders corners. In AZ we don't get enough rain to really need fender flares, and have no fender laws, so they work great for me. I really like the look and they are heavy and strong.

Had the LoD rock sliders installed. Had them welded on instead of drilling and tapping holes. Will paint the welded areas and get better pics tomorrow. Starting on the Rockhard cage tomorrow as well!

Sliders look good. :thumb: Wife has the same ones and we welded them on as well. No use on rocks yet, but I have no doubt they'll be fine if we ever do. We mainly wanted the step. They are very sturdy, well built, and look good.

Same reason I chose these over the Evo Mfg sliders I really liked. I always take my family with me so a good flat step is a must.
