I have a 13 dune with the hard top and fenders paint matched. I just paint matched my poison A pillar brackets for my 50in lightbar. When i do get the dough for my lift and beadlockers i fully intend to paint them dune, but thats the look im going for. Since your trimmed black hard top black fenders i agree with earlier post gun metal grey like the oem rims or black. Cant wait to see what you decide. Post a pic when your done.

Either raw, or something that you can easily touch up with a rattle can. If you aren't mall crawling, you are going to scratch them up. That's why I have my beadlocks for the trails and my regular wheels for daily driving. When the beadlock rings need a touchup, I just use some tape and plastic bags to mask off the tires and main part of the wheels and have at them with a rattle can.
You actually swap your tires between wheels to go wheeling vs daily driving? Or do you buy twice as many tires as you need?

I have 2 sets of tires and wheels. I have 17" steel Pro Comp wheels with welded on beadlock rings and 37X12.50R17 Nitto Trail Grapplers for the trails, and 20" Rugged Ridge Drakon wheels with 37X12.50R20 Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 tires for the road.

My phone sucks, but they look chrome to me, and chrome has got to go on JK's. I personally don't like matchy matchy accessories on jeeps, so my vote is black and then tear um up. I kinda like the texture that rocks give.

On that color I'd go raw. Gives a little contrast. Nothing wrong with all black but that's been overdone at this point IMHO...

Edit - The raw shows off all of the details on those rings too

Sorry bro! I seen the op and gave my vote before reading the comments. You must be a smart dude. [emoji13]

LOL - No worries from me and do you mind if I use the last sentence in your post as a counter-argument to my wife? :)

Like you I think with that subtle of a color the rings would compliment the Jeep well. And those Machete rings have a ton of details that pop when they're raw. I saw a rig with raw aluminum finish Machetes on them and they were just badass.

I think I'm down to Tan or raw. The raw polished rings do look sweet. And maintenance is super easy.

If I rattle can them, Lowes has Valspar paint that is super close to the Mojave sand, so painting and touch up would be inexpensive.

Now, what about the bolts? Should I do those black regardless of raw or tan?

I would do black or have the wheel itself color matched to your jeep and then still do the ring in black.

I think the entire wheel color matched with the black ring would look really nice, I just can't bring my self to painting the entire wheel. Maybe down the road......

I have to agree that all black has been done so much. Hopefully after these next few trips, I'll be doing wheels and tires on BOHICA. I'm trying hard to stay away from all black, but it does look great with the Mohave Sand color.
If it were me, I'd go with raw rings. Here is a pic of one of our members Sahara Tan rigs with slabs, just to get an idea of what you would be Looking at.

Im considering either a matte bronze, similar to the anniversary wheels color,

Or, a raw ring like you have on the Machetes. I also saw a tan rig with all polished wheels and thought it looked great. I'll post some pics of that when I get home, as they are saved on my laptop.
Either way, black or raw, I think it will look great. Color matched, I personally think it will be too much Sand color.

I think this question has lead to so many different answers, your back to not knowing what to do! lol Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong anyway you go. The raw look is cool. The painted look is cool (matched or not). One thing is for sure, post the pictures of your decision when your done.:thumb:

Leaning toward leaving them as is. If I get a wild hair later on, I can paint them then.

Next will be to get the tires ordered up.. it may be a little while still, 37's are pricey[emoji45]
