New shocks for the 392

So i went ahead and ditched the Falcon shocks, couldn’t handle the ride

I went with a set of Peak performance 2.5 DSC shocks, they ride amazing without the jitter off the digressive valving that the Falcons suffered from….

I’ve always been a huge fan of King, but theses are more adjustable and the ride is super compliant..

He should probably contact Eddie if he wants to be a paid advertiser on this forum like others have to do.

I agree. Folks on the sprinter forum say the ride with Kings they've experienced isn't that good. I think they bought the Falcons and don't want to say the ride they have isn't as good. The kings paired with 4" plush rides on my Jeep ride great. Even after loading it down with 100's of lbs of coffee gear and nearly riding on the bumps. Once its unloaded it returns to where it normally sits and rides great. I do need to look into getting the rebuilt though. They've got quite a gew miles on them.

Paid advertiser?

I paid for my shit?

I redid my suspension and the Falcons became a bigger issue, the ride was flinty (granted I’ve used kings or fox for most projects before)

Why do i need to be a paid advertiser to share a shock i bought that I would think others may find good? I have no affiliation to them, other than being a customer.

Huge fan of Kings, i just wanted to try something different, that shop did a great job on my lancruiser, so i gave them a shot when he showed me the shocks they valved for the 392.

Love Ohlins too, run them on my Harley and have them for my M4

Good for you. Was referring to the website you are hawking. We have companies on here that are allowed to sell because they pay to advertise here.

I was sharing that so I didn’t misquote their details. If there is a biz opportunity for these guys, they should look at it, but if there is, that would be on this site to promote the value of such. I’ve bought products off this site, and bought products from Eddie even int he past.

But I’m not “hawking” anything, i have no gain or play in this other than sharing and learning….

My complete intention was sharing a good shock and opening up discussion, as that s how people will learn

I think it came across as trying to hawk a product as it just came up as a random thread unrelated to any other discussion. If it was included in a build thread or a thread about shocks I don’t think it would have come off like that.

Actually in another thread discussion I started, i discussed that i has just installed a currie 3.5 kit and I wasn’t happy with Falcons (i was blaming the Clayton 392 performance springs) before and once i brought travel into the equation and the shocks fell very flat.

I commented i love Kings, as have used them many times, but looking at options.

Peak had worked on my Land Cruiser, and i looked at options, and they had one that i liked based on the DSC adjustability

So yes, maybe a few people here didn’t see the other thread where i explained that I’ve been a member here for a long time, and just purchased another jeep (now a 392). Kids are in college now, so more time to play with stuff…..

So yes, this did come from another thread- i started this to discuss the shocks if people had questions, vs conflating it in the other thread…

Instead of discussing cool stuff, this evolved in to hawking or sponsoring, not what was intended.

I’m just tearing into my 26th jeep, and was looking to get info and share feedback, thinking that was the value here…
