Where did your Jeep take You this Week?

-AINOKEA-

Hooked
Spent the night in Waipio valley. It was the kids first time there and we all had a blast. Such an awesome place to go, especially overnight.

There were a few wild horses grazing when we showed up. They hung out until sunset and left.

This was also the first time I’ve taken the jeep anywhere with a full load of stuff. I think I need a spacer in the back or something.. sagging quite a bit with the weight.

Middle of no fnwhere. Northeast Kingdom in Vermont, the Silvio O Conte National Wildlife Refuge in Bloomfield. I kept going through amd north to Averill Vermont, ended up getting turned around due to a huge washout of the road.

Hahaha, yeah, ordinarily this is our path, but there were building circumstances that made discretion the better part of valour.
1/4 tank of gas, no cell, gps froze up, and no one knew we had gone out there. It made no sense to push our luck on that. There was no easy or obvious way around the washout, and no way through it.
Next time we will have others along, amd be able to look for a lot more options. This was supposed to be a quick run through a Refuge, but it was beyond wilderness for what our area usually provides. Really a surprise find for sure.

Caught the Bug
I took a friend and his wife out on their fist off-road trip. It was pretty tame but I think they caught the bug. They both have Jeeps but neither one of them has really seen dirt before this trip. We did part of the explore New Hampshire 3 day overland trip.
I’m the black Jeep leading the the giant spotting for them. They have a completely stock 2015 JKR on the trip.

Nice! They just had their anniversary run in Warren NH this last weekend too, but it filled up before my Jeep was finished.

in the last week we left CA, to Vegas, to Grand Canyon, to Moab, to Breckenridge, to Jackson Hole, to yellowstone, now camped at foot ofGrand Tetons at Jackson Lake until Wed or Thurs. Then maybe Bryce, Zion, Tahoe, and Bay area on way back to Socal.
