I've been talking about waxing mine for over a year.... it badly needs it done. LOL, keep on procrastinating and getting little chips here and there from wheeling it makes it really hard to motivate...
I got my sport minus the hardtop for 28,500 OTD, it is a 2012 JKU Auto. with upgrade sound

x2 I did notice the low gearing while on a trip to the appalachian mnts. it was noticable but not unbarable in anyway IMO.
I'm not gonna re-gear until I get 37's or bigger.
I have a 2012 sport with an auto and 3.21's factory.
I have zero problems running 35's on the 3.21's. It was even fine before I Pro-cal'ed the jeep and even better afterwards.

I don't go "mudding" but here in the south east, alot of the trail riding is in moist to saturated dirt and clay which acts like mud alot of times...
One day i plan to make a Moab trip. It will be a few years away at the least.
that would prob. put me at around 3000 miles by just guestimating.

I have done jeep brakes... replaced rotors and all for less than 150.00 ...thats with NEW ROTORS at the parts store.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product.. love the tent and homemade mounting system! I'm about to camp on a ride this weekend and that looks way more fun than pitching my tent on the ground.
