    Matt's build

The vendor I purchased the kit from contacted RK from me and explained my situation. So a RK tech called me and let me know that there were two spacers for the heim joint in one of the parts bags. The track bar now fits perfectly. I wish the directions stated/explained that but I guess I...

    Matt's build

Progress slowed a bit when neither track bar mount would fit into the relocation bracket that I welded in on Monday. Even bending it a bit didn't help. Here's me trying to put the heim joint in, no luck. I'm getting very good support from the vendor who is working with RK for a solution...

NORTHEAST GO TOPLESS DAY - SATURDAY, MAY 10th, 2014

I'm almost ready...soft top 95% installed. The gap in the back is because I'm missing the bolts/knobs (not sure what is used) to secure the rear brackets. Any advice or does someone know what I can use? Thanks!

NORTHEAST GO TOPLESS DAY - SATURDAY, MAY 10th, 2014

So I'm planning on going now. Made up my mind last night. And then this showed up today (I ordered it three weeks ago from Rivercity Off-road). 3.5" RK X-Factor.... So, should I try to install it??? My biggest issue is that I haven't found a shop to do the alignment post install yet in my...

    Magnuson supercharger for 3.8L engine

Does anyone have any experience with the Magnuson Supercharger Kit (For 07-11 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK with 3.8L)? It's expensive (~$6k), but it's a roots style SC and the kit looks complete out of the box with an intercooler. How is it performing for you? Are you seeing the HP...

    Fender fixed with cable ties

So I damaged my fender and in a jam I used a few cable ties to put it back together. I was lucky not to break too many of the fender clips so I could re-install the fender. Hopefully this will help someone else that finds themselves in a similar situation. I do plan to fix it correctly...

15 used cars to avoid - Jeep Wrangler #15

I just saw this on MSN: "15 used cars to avoid" (http://editorial.autos.msn.com/15-used-cars-to-avoid?icid=autos_5223#16) Jeep Wrangler - Model years to avoid: 2007 - 2012 The rough Jeep Wrangler is an off-road champion, but that doesn't mean it gets away free and clear when it comes to...

Easy mod to allow larger battery mounting!

Eddie mentioned in one of his write-ups that they were re-branded Odyssey Extreme batteries. If you look at the specs (and pictures) of each size/style of Diehard Platinums compared to the Odyssey Extreme batteries they are identical with the exception of coloring and labels. After researching...

LED Light Upgrade for your Power Window Switches

Took to the next level Following these great instructions I replaced the bulbs in my window switches and then climate controls. During long trips I would have to "dim" down the backlighting because the surface of the switches got hot enough that I was afraid the plastic might melt. I've seen...

    Defroster ventilation duct mod?

Has anyone modified their vent duct for the windshield defroster vents. Since the only "vent" for an '07 blows only in the middle of the windshield, it results in this (attached pictures) during cold snowy weather (evening with the ventilation on max heat and fan speed. Thanks, Matt

    A wave from Portsmouth (RI)

I just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself. I got my '07 JKUR back in 2010. So far I've been able to off-road it on mostly mild level trials when I've had the opportunity. My JK is my third Jeep (first was a '96 XJ, second was a '99 Grand Cherokee) and it is my DD. I'm a ship driver in the...
