In The Shop - Disciple Off Road

Yea, I had mine replaced a few years back. Also, @Disciple Off Road, there is a lifetime manufacturers warranty on JK clock springs. I didn’t know when I replaced mine, and paid a few hundred bucks at the dealership. Wish I had known.

    Rubicon sway bar issue

I am curious to see if that might work. The next time I dig into it, I also need to tear apart the gears COMPLETELY and clean everything and inspect. I’m wondering if there isn’t some small wear in the gears causing the slightest bit of resistance that the motor just can’t overcome…

    Rubicon sway bar issue

My sway bar disconnect motor also appears to function, but does not disconnect my sway bar. JK, 115K miles, no issues, just started having problems. Removed the motor from the gearbox, broke apart the gear box. No water intrusion anywhere. Grease looks brand new from the factory. Added more...

What's your view like at work?

I hear ya. I saw a similar setup at the most recent EJS. As someone who travels solo pretty regularly, and likes to camp, I do really like the concept of having a self contained camping setup like that.

What was done to your rig this week?

New shoes for the JK. Was a little disappointed that they were over 1.5 years old. Must have been pulled off the Black Friday sale pile. They balanced out pretty good with medium amount of weights though…

    A Dirt Head's JK

Glad they figured it out. That leak was violent. My oil filter housing leak slowly got worse over 6 months and never looked as bad as yours. Be curious to see if the housing actually cracked on yours. Mine was not cracked, just warped enough to leak.
