    Sunnyside's Gladiator build begins...

Oh... the first press I rented from Oreiley's- it had a stress fracture (I just thought it was paint or something). Pressed one ball joint out- and on the second ball joint the press snapped off inside the clamp! It just started to move the ball joint down. In the picture its offset because I...

    Sunnyside's Gladiator build begins...

I also had some spare time earlier this winter... I love my topper so much that I replaced both sides will a single sheet of HDPE (it was chopped up and moved around over the last few years to get it just right. Now that I'm totally settled on it- I bought one full sheet had it water cut, and...

    Sunnyside's Gladiator build begins...

75,000 miles.... decided to get to work on a few things. Reid knuckles, rebuilt RCV's , new brakes, since I had it apart-new hubs and new synergy ball joints. I had one steer smart joint on the tie rod go bad... swaped it out too. That took me about 8.5 hours. I'm slow. But everything is...

    Flush tails!!!

I got a set last year at Christmas.... they are still going fine. But a year isn't that long. But I didn't have the led light package or sensors or anything... the other thing I did was when installing I put a blob of silicone around the back of the connections where the wires come out... Just...

    clunk clunk; now something binding

What do you mean by "it looks like the front wheel will bust off"? Like axle is turning but brake is seized- tire twisting but wheel not moving? Oris it that the axle is not turning and diff is jammed up? If the fronts are off the ground do they spin freely? If you leave your door open while...

Guys with 37's, what's your average MPG?

Magruder corridor, highland city, avalanch gultch, radersburg, and a couple unnamed trails. The corridor roads accounted for about 55 of the total miles in low- mostly for downhill speed control on a ten mile section and a 3o mile section, and then the top of the trail was all snow-packed drifts...

Jeep gladiator JT 2021 clunk on deceleration near stop

Lower control arm bolts will pop or clunk when stopping... they have a 190 foot lb rating, and if they don't get really tight when installed, they will loosen up and start poping and clunking.

Guys with 37's, what's your average MPG?

I just did a week long trip, 400 miles highway, 200 miles dirt and gravel, 100 miles in 4wd low. On 37's with 4:88 and about 350lbs of camping stuff and I averaged 13.5. The next leg of the trip was just highway and gravel and after I unloaded a lot of stuff... I got around 15.5 . I have heard...

    Front end humming

I remmeber someone early on- with a JT say that they had a bushing go out inside the FAD that then allowed the coupler to "buzz" or "make a growl on the highway... because it did not disconnect enough... so it would make noise as it would slip back against the shaft. I don't remmeber where I...

More Than Just a Jeep – It’s a Way of Life!

My Dad passed away about 2 years ago- he had an old copy of a magazine in his stuff- an issue where I had written into them in a "letters to the editor" type deal. He had saved a copy of my letter. This was in March of 1997 in the “4XForum” of what was one of my favorite magazines for several...

    Sunnyside's Gladiator build begins...

I have used a very cheap method of keeping the insides of the topper light enough to see. I have 3 push button led light strips from walmart. Two ofthem are over 2 years old and been on 50 plus days and nights camping... still on the first set of batteries. They each use three triple a's to...
