Looks like simply unbolting it will not fix the tire clearance. The is a tab welded to the frame that would need to be cut off. This tab is what looks to be what could rub or cut a tire, not the block bolted to the frame.

5 inches is 127mm 1in = 25.4mm They have 3.5" version, but they are more expensive. I care more about function than look. Which would rub less? Drive better?
