Regeared, now front driveshaft spins in 2WD

Take it to the shop, could be an issue with the FAD or with the E-locker. The FAD collar could be out of its groove on the shift fork or the Spicer E Locker can operate incorrectly if the sheet metal plate on the locker gets bent or isn't oriented correctly. I would limit driving until the...

What was done to your rig this week?

lol…. With a set of 5 point harnesses. They’re for bolting the seatbelt to the roll cage ETA: with the coopers these and a few Irwin rod clamps were mandatory, with the Maxxis I just needed to move these little cleats a few times as I worked around the bead. I did end up using these on tires...

    Old School Cool

Had some company a few months ago, after the ladies got some drinks down they begged me to go get them a pack of cigs…. 😲 some $12 later they each smoked 1 or 2 and the pack just got left in the garage. At least I think it’s out of their system for a few years now

What was done to your rig this week?

Four more wheels to polish and 120 bolts to go! So far, out of the Cooper STT Pro, Maxxis A/T’s and these BFG KM3’s these have been the easiest to align (start?) the outer bead. These are 13.5’s too, I don’t think I will even need the hold down bolts for the others.

What was done to your rig this week?

Busted down tires today… I don’t think I’ve ever had beads harder to break than these KMC’s but I’d rather fight getting them apart than have a bead pop on the trail. Soooo many bolts I also washed everything and freshened up the beadlock rings. Sanded them with 60 grit on Dewalt 20v...

TRANSFORMATION of the RUBICON : Before & After Photos 5 Years in the Making

Looks like you’re getting a rash of shit but I kinda enjoyed the read. Also appreciate the efforts of RTF to keep the trail open and the RTF loop too. I always make sure to stop and BS Glen parked in the shade at the top of the slabs on my way through. Thought I missed him last time but he was...

WHO DO YOU TRUST : Owners Manual or The Internet

A little of both honestly, if questionable I stick with the manual. When it comes to oil viscosity I don’t think I’d hesitate to go with a slightly heavier weight. One of the driving factors for manufacturers going to 0-20 oil is to gain a minute amount of fuel efficiency to help their EPA...

    Detailing your jeep

Thread revival… Anyone try the “Wheely Clean” stuff that’s been getting pimped on social media? Is it worth a shit or should I just buy another bottle of Meguiar’s Non-Acid wheel cleaner. I’ve got new tires on order and like to detail clean the wheels while everything is apart.

Random (non-Jeep) Shit You’re Working On....

Just adds material to allow for some bend or stretch in the tubing so the fittings are able to be hooked up if it moves a little. Also adds some style

Random (non-Jeep) Shit You’re Working On....

Rebuild of the shop air compressor over the past few weekends. The air tank finally rotted out and after shopping new and used air compressors we decided to just replace the tank. I did find a really nice 15 HP unit for next to nothing but don’t have the power to run it 1979 Saylor-Beall 2...
