Hunter Lake couldn't have been completely dry or there wouldn't have been that water crossing over Hunter Creek. 
You have to know where to look in the meadow though. It's more like a large pond that's only a few feet deep surrounded by marshes. My oldest caught a few trout there last time we made the trek up.

I walked back up the trail and didn't find anything that remotely looked capable of doing this.

LOL:cheesy: I won't deny I was moving, but nothing crazy in terms of speed. I'm pretty conservative and watch out for things like this, somehow this MFr got me.
Ordered my replacements from Discount Tire today, their Road Hazard warranty saved me some big bucks since I had < 10k on these tires. :thumb:

How about posting up a map of this trail. I've been on it before, but only with my friends leading the way. I can only remember it if I go backwards from cabellas to the trailhead.
