Apparently I'm an idiot and don't know how to put a top on. They said I have to adjust the windshield in order to make it fit. Does anyone know the best way of doing that? They told me there is a bolt on the roll bar under the padding, but I don't see a bolt?
The windshield is designed to be lowered, but you have to unbolt it from the supports to do that. Those would be the bolts they are talking about. IIRC, you have to take off some of the padding as well as the sun visors and plastic trim to get at them. Unlike previous Wranglers it's not very easy to do on a JK... and if you don't have everything lined up properly when you put the windshield back up you will have leaks like the others have said.
One big problem I can see coming: if you loosen the windshield so the Smittybilt hardtop will fit, it will be pushed forward and won't make a good seal with the doors...
Like the others have said, get your money back. There are better after market tops by more reputable companies, but in my mind the OEM hardtop is still the best way to go.
