After passing the junk yard art sculptures in Olancha on several occasions I finally stopped to check the pieces out this weekend. While the hitchhiking iron maiden is the most visible sculpture that can be seen from highway 395, the most talked about on-line anyway is the Give and Take sculpture.

The give/take sculpture has instructions that say, "Give and Take. Put something in the give container then retrieve something from the take container. You can give without taking, but not the other way around. If you choose to take without giving, the mirror will make you face yourself and the eyes will follow you forever and ever. Just like real life."

Here are a few more thought-provoking sculptures you'll see along with a couple of controversial ones too...

No adventure of ours is really complete without at least one unscheduled stop along the way

Nothing exciting but decided to use the app and stop at a few things I haven't been to before that are local
At the end of a local road in west wyomissing there is this bust of fdr on an old fireplace
At the Berks county heritage center we have this large Dutch styled bird
The literal "fork in the road" in centerville pa
The large pretzel outside of Tom Sturgis Pretzel in shillington, pa
The local hot spot "the reading pagoda" which overlooks the city of reading, pa
