Some pics of my jeep from the WAL Texas run, this was just a few days before ordering the Long Arm Kit, and sadly, the last time the jeep was wheeled to date. Thanks to iRonin, DAVERAWR, and others who where also taking pics :thumb:

Well, some good news then. I may have to push the west Texas trip out due to work. If I do then you'll have plenty of time to get everything prepped.

Sweet! I hope so... err, I mean "that stinks" lmao

When are you thinking?

Well I hear there might be another run coming up around end of May. My son is on track to be born at the end of May as well, so probably last weekend of April. Hopefully...

Are you going to be doing the long arm install yourself? It's gonna look really good once you get that on (not that it doesn't now ;) )

Got to spend a little bit of time with the jeep today installing my LOD rear tire carrier.

I got everything mounted up and square. But I can't get the tire to mount tight against the frame of the carrier, the B.S. of the slab is two low, I.E. the tire is to far away from the frame. Even on the closest setting. It's also irritating that the tire is ever so slightly clockwise off center... but I gotta figure out how to mount my spare properly before I waste my time with rotation... just figured this would be something LOD perfected by now... guess not...

Looks great! Your tire is up against the factory bumps right?

The frame of the carrier is, but the tire is not up against the frame. I can't install the 3 lugs close enough to the frame to make its tight when I torque down the lug nuts

We had to cut an inch off of the metal mount where slips into the bigger square. Does that make sense?

Just got caught up on your build, looking great. Someday I need to man up and order the long arm kit but the install looks like such a pain.

My carrier is slightly different from yours because it attaches to the back but I hope pictures help.

Thanks for the pics, yes they help! Looks good!

I cut the welds on my bracket today, figured I would take care of the slight rotation at the same time. Do it once, do it right... I.E. the way it SHOULD have been made... IMO
