Depends if you have an auto or manual and whether or not you have a 2-door or 4-door. What do you have?

Front for sure, I ripped my boot first time out. Rear is going to need to be done, but you might get a little bit out of it. Mines an 07 2 dr auto.

A ripped boot doesn't mean the driveshaft is trash.
OP you will need both driveshafts eventually on a two door. I had to replace my rear before I had to replace my front.

It isn't trashed "yet" but it will lead to a failure. Just wanted to clarify
Fair enough, not trashed but you'll want to plan on replacing sooner. It doesn't explode your jeep, but it makes a terrible noise until trim it up underneath.

The noise is the CV. Excessive wear is caused because of the angle.

My noise was the actual plastic boot that was spinning around and hitting the floorboard. I had to get under it with a utility knife and remove it.
