From the little research I've done I do believe they are removable, also this picture looks like the ring is separate and can be removed.
Won't know forsure until I give WE a call.

Update on the Walker Evans wheels. The bolts are removable but the ring isn't. The model is Walker Evans Legend 501 Series. They sell them for the JK in 5x127, which is metric for 5x5.
