Rubicon Trail Run June 2015 - From Beginning to End and Everything in Between

So when they say the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk was able to do the Rubicon, you're telling me a trailhawk can make it through most of that?!

You can strap a winch and drag almost any 4x4 thru the Rubicon, but there are also the harder lines that only a few should attempt as Eddie has mentioned.

A Toyota owner the night before had broke a R&P coming up Cadillac Hill and was forced to leave in place on the edge of a cliff. Fortunately he did have a heavy duty strap to tie off the rear to a tree as you can see Doug's 15.50's rubbing by.

Negative. We took all the optional hard lines that you can still run. When something like a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk runs the trail, they stick to the main route which is still a challenge but can be done very very slowly and with a lot of help.

Roger that. So what you are saying, anyway you slice it, the Rubicon is a difficult trail, not matter which route you take, but you can make it extremely difficult...so it's not something one would run alone while passing through Northern California. :D

This is getting me more excited than ever for the July trip. It will be my first time and with a 4 door on 35s I know these obstacles won't be attempted, but it's great to see that as I evolve my rig I'll be able to run this trail many times and continuously find a challenge. Thanks for all the photos and video everyone, looked like the perfect summer get away. I'm really glad I now live in Northern California and will be able to enjoy this and similar trails in the Sierras!

Just me??? None of Chris's pics loaded.

You know, now that I looked on my computer, I can't see them. Only on my phone

Same here but in his defense he wears a helmet.
