Just got an email saying Barret lake trail just got reopened. I was thinking about running it on August 7th. Was just wondering if anyone had anything good or bad to say about it.
Anyone run Barret lake trail?

You're too wide. Gate is 82 inches, Jason said full width and slabs was right around 88.
But you can drive mine!! I'll trade toys for the day. 2 dr Nation!

I know. Niagara is still an option, or hell hole. Slick Rock but a lot of us ran it recently.

I think the majority, if not all, are up for pretty much anything. As long as there is some decent camping, we're in!

If you can make it past the gate you can run it. It doesn't say you have to fit BETWEEN the poles.

I heard the gate was narrow, but I wasn't sure if we could still make it or not.

How about trails east of Tahoe?
The last time I was there was just before they closed the trail. Back then, Moby was 88" wide and there was no way to pass through the gate they had setup. I haven't been there since and they may have changed the gate since that time but that's what I remembered. I may have to make a quick trip down just to see.

Man if you could make it down and find out that would be great. It looks like a very fun trail.
Went down earlier today and saw this.

I have gotten 2 emails saying that it was reopened. One from my local 4x4 club and the other from Cal 4 wheel.

I'll appreciate the info. This was a trail I was excited to run after hearing it was reopened.
Trust me, I wouldn't have made the trip down if I didn't think it was open. I can only report what I saw. Maybe something was going on today that warranted it being closed.
