Holy crap! Should have had a truss made out of a broken TF tire carrier. Then that would have never happened! Is that a Currie or a TF housing?

Where did you see that?
There was a wash out at about race mile 40 that multiple guys hit and broke axles. I know of at least two that snapped the axle housing in half after hitting it.
