Let's seen some storage setups!

That turned out awesome! I've been wanting to build something like that in the back, either with a drawer or a fold up style.

I came across this the other day.

I for one have always wondered what I could use this spot for, I have seen speakers put there but was never a fan. I always thought it may be a good spot for a extinguisher.

I have seen a couple different setups with that little pocket. Some guys put a hard cover over the face of it and use it as a hard pocket, I've also seen a mesh/elastic type pocket there which in my opinion seems a little more functional.

It is definitely good space asking to be utilized.
The fanny pack idea is pretty cool. Haha it would be a good spot for a first aid kit or something along those lines.

Yeah from day one of getting the XJ I have always wondered what I could put in this spot. Usually when I think of something, the opening isn't big enough or I find a better place to put it.

I added this to the "storage" setup in the back. I got my Krazy Beaver shovel in the mail a few weeks back for my birthday and it came with free mounts. Finally put them to use! Figured this was better than kicking around in my back seat. Haha

Thanks! It's definitely a handy tool. My brother in law and sister bought it for me for my birthday after I buried my Jeep in the snow and didn't have a shovel with me! Haha

Posted this in my build thread and thought I'd put here too. Anyone considered using sunglass cases to hold tie downs? The perfect size and you could clip them to a rope inside the Jeep like carabiners hanging off a climbing rope. I think I'm gonna order some more cases just for this purpose

That's a great idea. Mine are currently tangled in a ball and I constantly have to untangle them.

I used an old Black and Decker drill case with the internal compartment walls cut out for my larger tie downs

I didn't clean it up, but you get the idea.

The top section slides off, and the two sides are held in place with only a fender washer through the footman loops. the right side has a tool box over the wheel well and the lower pocket holds my chains. I had ripped out that plastic pocket for another project, There is a ton of room back there!

Guess I never updated this thread with final tie down storage I came up with. Bought a few sunglass cases off Amazon for $3 each and mounted a line that clips onto itself from roll cage to headrest

I like this idea a lot. I'll have to do the same, I just had to buy more tie downs this weekend and they are all over the back of my jeep!
