Testing a winch, and front bumper identification

Need a hand guys, im going to check out a bumper winch combo tomorrow and am wondering the best way to test the winch and if anyone can help identify the maker of the bumper. I'm assuming jumpercables to my battery will work for testing but any help would be great thanks.

I used to have that bumper if your jeep is 2012+ you will need a Vacuum pump relocation kit to clear the winch plate

I'm pretty sure it's an old LoD model it didn't have any marks to confirm but from the research I did that's what it was

As for the winch, it's a Smittybilt, without (almost) any doubt. An "old" XRC* Series with what looks to be a synthetic rope (from where I stand [emoji102])

That's a good deal! If the winch works the one time you need it, it will pay for itself lol

Yes, jumper cables will be just fine. Basically you're just checking the solenoids work and motor turns both ways. Not like you can load it up or anything.

Winches are great to have, I put one on my factory bumper with a flat mount and have used it to do yardwork if nothing else.
