IMG_20170202_211447200.jpg the old frame needs to be trimmed some more so the uppers can fit on the truss with the length. I put a temporary cross member between the new frame rails. Wasn't sure what the old frame was going to do when I cut out the section with an old cross member. Didn't think there was going to be this much fab when I started.

The lower control arm frame brackets are tacked on now. Kinda avoiding finish welding, not a fan of welding overhead. Made two control arms, only six more to go. IMG_20170204_214240834.jpg IMG_20170204_214258119.jpg . That's a pipe cutter, it didn't cut all the way through. The grove it left was perfect for my saw to fallow for a square cut. Custom fab like what you're doing, is very time consuming. Do it correct now, or you'll kick yourself in the ass when it's all done if you shortcutted where you shouldn't have. It's looking good though.

I know where you're coming from. I look at it like a hobby that doesn't get boring. Thanks.

I was finishing the last link for the rear and a heim seized in the tube adapter. The tube was able to be saved but wasn't sure about the heim, after being heated with a torch. IMG_20170205_182414392.jpg . Got a new one on order and took one that was ear marked for the front links and finished all 4 rear links. IMG_20170206_224352078.jpg

I had to go back and square the new frame rails. Found out they weren't as square as I thought they were. Then welded the brackets on. I started to figure out how I want to mount the coilovers. IMG_20170221_153741406.jpg IMG_20170221_153700670.jpg

IMG_20170222_145703031.jpg IMG_20170222_145741047.jpg . I put the tires and calipers on to check clearances. I'm using some bent tubing that was laying around to mock up shock mounts. The bend should be a lot easier and better to use than the straight tube at an angle. I'm really happy with how it looks with the tires on.

Decided to take a break from the rear and work on the frame rails that will connect the rear portion to the front to by the engine. IMG_20170302_222328392.jpg . The shackle on the front axle was getting in the way so it had to be taken out IMG_20170302_222402504.jpg .
