had this thought while on the trail last weekend, was driving on a fairly smooth trail with random rocks and thought to myself "hmm I don't need to drive over that rock, but I want to because I can!"

Haha that's funny yeah I feel your pain but I know where mine is coming from. The the high lift base on mine always rattles. Super annoying.

Replace the cotter pin on the base with a nut and bolt!

Damn that's a good idea. I wrapped the cotter pin in tape, but I like your idea better.
