Caught the Bug
Very cool! I was in Swaziland probably 8 years ago now. Defenitly were not a lot of tourist related activities. Beautiful countryside from what I remember.

Glad you enjoy it, will take some detail photos next time, especially of the cable way pylons. Some info on the cable way. Each bucket could carry 200kg, and they could load or offload 13 carts per hour. They also only worked during the daylight. The mine was operational from 1937 to 2001. Spoke to one of our older artisans at our mine, he worked on the cable ways as youngster and will give me more info to share with you.

In Mpumalanga and Swaziland, we have a rich mining history, Ngwenya Mine in Swaziland is also the oldest mine in the world. It is about 40km away from Bulembu. 90% of all Toyotas build, was build with Ngwenya iron

Looks like I have a few road trips coming up to go and take some photos for you guys of all our ghost towns and old ox-wagon trials and Anglo-Boer war fort's.
