Running birddog wheels without a spare

So due to a number of reasons I'm contemplating getting only 4 interco birddog wheels and just carrying my spare tire in the back for like 6 months (or more?). Cost savings, weight savings...
What do you all think of both the idea and of those wheels? (I don't care about looks)

Meh... I think I'll waste my money on some KMC's instead.

I think the single most common trail damage is a sidewall gash...easiest trail repair is mounting a full size spare...

if the spare doesn't match in size, I wouldn't bother carrying a spare.

only takes one damaged tire to call it a day without a spare - tow trucks love to go to remote places :cheesy:
