I'd like to trim mine to the flat look I've seen on some jeeps here but it seems like the stock plastic is quite rigid and might cause some bending of the panels near the mounting points. Found a discussion awhile back that talked about the difference between soft fenders and armored fenders. There was some mention of stiff fenders causing some bending due to the fact that designers of the different fenders don't take transferring energy to the substructure into account.

Have you experienced any bending at all with all that scrapage?

This just happened on Saturday. I am going to trim them when I get my 37's on, there's no bending that I can see

I have ripped off stock un cut fenders, and trimmed ones, with no bending anywhere. The plastic clips that hold them on are designed to break first.

That's good to know. I think I will go this route then. I like the MetalCloak Overline setup but at $2900 I'm going to have to come up with some 'creative' income solutions... Trimmed OEM will have to do for now!
