Eddie, how much more would you say (ballpark) this setup (motor/trans) weighs over the OEM 3.8 or 3.6 with tranny?

Eddie, how much more would you say (ballpark) this setup (motor/trans) weighs over the OEM 3.8 or 3.6 with tranny?

The motor is just slightly heavier than a 3.8L - from what I have seen, under 10 lbs. The 6L80 tranny is heavier but not enough to make a huge difference.

Oh wow. Thats awesome. So it really is a "no drawback" swap. The 3.8 is an iron block right?

it's also keeping that little bit of extra weight right in the middle of the wheel base and along the centerline. That's always a plus if you are adding weight and it's due to the drivetrain.

LOL!! Yeah, Moby lost his warranty a long long time ago and only recently found that he had been flagged as well.

DAY 3 - GETTING THE LS READY

Here is a summary of what we accomplished today...

-Tack welded in the new MoTech Frame Mounts
-Installed the new Harmonic balancer
-Installed the MoTech brackets for the JK alternator, JK PS pump and JK A/C compressor
-Installed the new exhaust manifolds
-Installed the MoTech transmission mount
-Installed the Atlas transfer case adapter on the transmission
-Removed the old GM wiring harness
-Installed the new MoTech LS JK wiring harness
-Test fit the LS 6.2L motor in Moby
-Ordered a few more parts that we were missing
