EVO Tire Carrier Rotopax Gas Can Mount Solution

Wasn't EVO coming up with their own "Bolt on setup"? Ideally I would love a setup that allowed for the license plate to remain in the "standard" location, but allows for rotopax when they are needed.

Standard as in factory or standard as in on the middle of the carrier? Only one of those is possible.

I've heard this but have yet to see a picture of it. I've seen one where they stood up near the tire but AFAIK they were a one off custom bracket.

This is the one that evo did for my jeep. It was done on a few other jeeps as well. Not sure if they are offering it or if they only do it in their shop.

I am going to puill the trigger and do what Eddie did!

Eddie does it shake at all when driving?

Yes it does when you tighten the rotopax there's a little play but not bad and it doesn't rattle or anything I mounted 2 rotopax horizontally and I scraped the pax in Moab so yes you can scrap the pax or even tear them off if not careful ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1416983749.764072.jpg

Have any close up pictures of the bracket themselves? Without the rotopax?

Didn't know you were a member here. Nice rig! :thumb:

Thanks! I don't post that much on the forums. Debating on an engine swap now, but it seems like a lot of the bugs have not been worked out yet.

I don't have any on this computer. When I get back to my laptop I'll check to see if I have some....I'm overseas right now so I'm unable to go outside and take some.

Love it!

Did they just weld a couple brackets to the carrier?

Stellar rig!

If I remember correctly, 4 holes were drilled in the area of the top hole on the side brace and 4 bolts hold the bracket in place. If you look at the picture I posted and then a picture of a stock carrier, you can see that the stock carrier brace has 3 holes that are visible, where mine only has 2 (3rd hole is covered up by the bracket). You can see the 4 bolts on the sides of where the top hole is at on the stock carriers.
