Broken inside door handle

Good morning!
I’m new here so please be kind. Lol! I have a 2011 wrangler sport that I bought in 2017. I’ve figured out how to repair little things myself, but I’m a bit intimidated on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Detailed pictures would be incredible!

ok, so the problem-
My inside door handle stopped working. So I bought a new one and watched videos on how to install it. I was so excited to get this done by myself, only to find out it didn’t fix the problem.
I know this may be a bit odd to post a TikTok, but here is a video that shows the issue-
TIA!!

well that sucks. Sounds like one of the latch link bushings broke. Unfortunately, you will need to take more of the door panel apart to get to it. While I do have a factory service manual, it's for an 07-10 but I'll see if there's anything there that might be able to help out.

Okay, giving parts a quick look, I see that 2011 has a latch cable. If I could guess, it has broke and will need to be replaced. But, you would need to pull that additional panel off to verify as much. Here is a link to the cable if it is the problem.

If you're lucky, that's all that it is and it's cheap. Once the panel is off, you can just pull off what remains of the old cable and replace it with this new one. should just hook on at both ends.

be careful pulling that black panel off, there are a couple of access ports on the bottom you'll need to cut out, then you need to roll the power window all the way down to release the clips holding the window but don't push too hard or risk breaking the glass - also need to pull up on the glass while pressing the clip one at a time.

before rolling the window down to release the clips, I used gaffer tape on the inside and outside of the glass and stuck it to the top of the door frame, made it easier to hold and lift the glass while pressing the clips and once the clips were freed I could pull the window up and tape it in the up position.

There's a youtube that I watched that helped more than others, most removed everything but it wasn't necessary.

found the video I mostly followed:

Also, there is a lot of plastic that can crack or break when removing the cables.

It was a PIA
