You ever get further South? We're in Southern Maryland, I may be interested, and I drive north infrequently. I sold my 2012 takeoff top when I won a 2014 new one (with the springs) at a Jeep Jamboree. I can honestly say that the season I had it installed, I hate the new one with a passion that burns. The spring assist and mounting brackets are great if you leave it on and up all summer, and I'm sure they are friendly to smaller people (soccer moms). For me, the difficulty tucking the spring assist into a boot outweighs the "convenience" of having a spring assist.
