Timing belt

I changed mine when I rebuilt the straight six. Depending on your mechanical abilities, it's just an easy parts change. If you do not know much about it, do a little research, buy a Haynes automotive repair manual for your model and follow the instructions, any auto parts store or even Amazon.com will have it. Their manuals are great. If you are only doing a one for one swap, as long as you do not turn the crank after the belt is off, you should not have a problem with disrupting the valve train timing.

Does the straight six have a timing chain or belt? I thought it had a timing chain but I could be wrong. Thanks.
