CB antenna seized to mount - how to prevent?

Looks like dried dirt/mud made the CB antenna difficult to move

Is there anyway to prevent this? Is this product good for that?

I would use an electrical connector lubricant. I cannot think of it right now but you can get it at any auto parts store.
