Hi all,
I know this has been done to death time and again but I am having real trouble deciding whether to go to 4.88 or 4.56.
2009 AUTO Unlimited Sahara
33's and daily driver
Armour front/rear
Tire carrier/Winch
Dual battery
I am not going to 35's the type of wheeling I do doesn't require to go any larger than 33's however do spend a lot of time in tricky sand conditions (soft/deep powder and everything else upward).
Due to the extra weight/lift/kit etc my heart is telling me 4.88 my head 4.56.
I only want to do this once and get it right first time.
Any thoughts appreciated

If you only plan on running 33's you don't need to go to 4.88's. I think that will be to low with 33's, but if there is any chance you might go 35's then get 4.88's

x2 if you are sure you will not go to 35's stick with 4.56. in the sand you don't want to run out of RPM too soon. IMO 4.88 will place your RPM too high for what you do.
