How to's on offroad light wiring

What type of lights? That is going to determine the size wire. However if you're a newbie most of the led lights have an available harness. If you're going to make your own just google a wire ampacity table and size the wire for open air or if you want to be safe you can size for enclosed. Just remember sizing wire for DC is different than AC.

I'm on the fence, debating between led and maybe kc daylighters. Don't want to tax my current electrical system as I don't plan to go dual batteries.
