What type of knob is it and why are you having trouble getting it off? Stripped screw?

The 4wd shift knob. They just pull off. Well I put it on and need it off again but it's stuck

crescent wrench and a big hammer. Or put a foot on each seat and stand over it pulling up like your trying to lift the whole jeep from under you....Mine was a big pain.

I'll definitely try the wrench and hammer

you can also slide the bottom part of the knob down so you dont visually damage anything.

Got it off and all back to shape. Nothing channel locks and a hammer couldn't fix.
