Ok, so I need some help with wiring and colours. I'm trying to get my head wrapped around the GenRight third brake light install.
1. the black wire and white with red strip wire from the OEM third brake connected to the black and red from the GenRight. yes/no
therefore the green wire from the GenRight needs to have a mate to the Jeep. Some say this is to the right of the tub. The wiring harness that goes to the brake lights. However I have two questions.
1. I have the sub, does that housing need to be removed for me to gain access?
2. On the back of the rear door are a number of wires, one for the third brake and the other I'm guessing for the open door indicator, can I not tap into any of these for brake light or just the harness to the right?
If I have to go into this harness what colour wire am I looking for to split into?
And last one, do I thread the wire from the out side through the vents?
Lots of questions I know, however if you have the time crack open a cold one, and help a brother out.
