My 75 yr old father and I purchased this jeep in august of 2011. Almost a year later we have it almost to where we want it. Yes, there's always one more thing we need. G2 Dana 44 front axle with ARB Locker and 4.88's to match the rear axle we put in. Now that's the last part for a while. Sure.. Here's a short list of the goodies on our rig.

Rubicon 3.5" short arm lift, Daystar 1" BL with FOX 2.0 Shocks
B.F. Goodrich 35 x 15 KM2 M/T on ION Alloy 171 Rims
Bushwacker Flat Style Fenders
Ridge Industries LED Lights
Smittybilt Front Bumper & Winch
Rockhard 4x4 Rear Bumper Tire Carrier
Smittybilt side bars
Rockhard 4x4 Sport Cage
Pure Jeep Gas Tank Skid Plate
Teraflex Transfer Case Linkage
Dual Optima Batteries
Banks Cold Air System
Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust
Other miscellaneous stuff..

Cow Mountain-Ukiah, Hollister OHV Park, Reno to Virginia City are just a few of the runs we've been on and can't wait for more fun in the JEEP!,

Start with a nice TJ, This one was pretty clean inside and out, 6cyl Automatic with 123.000 miles. 9k. You could probably find one around that price with some of the work done already, if you can find a Rubicon Edition that would get you off to a better start. Dana44 on the Rubi. This one was completely stock. I like the automatic because in some cases it's just easier not having the extra pedal to deal with. Then you can spend more than you paid for the jeep. It's all about what you want, show or go! It climbs great with the 4.88's, but with the automatic it's horrible on the gas mileage. At 10mpg I drive it around town and flat-tow or trailer it to go on runs. I'm very happy how it turned out. Still need a G2 Dana 44 with ARB locker in front. Good luck!
