Another lift question

I have a 2012 JK Sport and will be doing a 2.5" to 3" suspension lift.

If I lift it 3" will I need new drive shafts or am I still safe. I wasn't sure if it was at 3" or anything over 3".

At this point I'm leaning towards the 2.5" suspension lift, but there are more options with a 3" lift.

I'm wanting to start of with a basic suspension lift for now, to get me to my desired height, then later add control arms, adjustable track bars, drive shafts, gears and lockers.

I don't want to buy parts only to replace them later, wasting money.

Thanks, guess ill stick with 2.5" , then add driveshafts somewhere down the road.

Gonna be running 35" tires, but will also have Bushwacker Flat Fenders.

To be fair, a 2.5" lift should be fine but the droop on the shocks might be too long at full flex. Just fyi. Make sure your shocks are appropriately sized too. A 2.5" should be fine for 35s I believe

^^^ what jkwrang just said. At 2.5" you don't need driveshafts BUT your droop from the shocks will make it so they hit your exhaust. Some run an exhaust spacer to help midigate this but in the end you will still want a new shaft.
