Wave from UK

My new Jeep no 1.jpg My new Jeep no 2.jpg Snorkel XHD with extension. no 2 (2).jpg Hi Guys and Girls,

Wave to you all from the seafront of Hythe in Kent not far from the Channel Tunnel.

I am a French bloke (as they say over here) but I have been living in England for the last 20 years so the linguo is not a problem. ;)

I bought my second Jeep a 2 Door JK Rubicon year 2008 last October and I am still working on it but it is going to be the real thing once finished. (Well I hope so!)

Once the mods are complete I will emails few pics of my pride and joy.

All the Best.

Welcome to Wayalife!! I grew up not far from Hythe in Wingham. Great looking jeep as well!

Thanks

Thanks to you all for welcoming me :thankyou:

I received more welcome messages from this :usa: site than I received from some UK sites when I joined them!

I don't think it's a matter of nationality I think that proves that members of Wayalife are genuine as is Eddie the creator of the site itself.

What a great start ! :friends:

I will definitely post more pics and details of my Rubi's mods once the bespoke construction part is complete.

Hi Ollie,

I had a look at your engine Swap thread and pics and I posted a reply. I am very impressed !! :thumb:

You seem to be experienced in that game. Are you doing everything yourself?

I am also member of the Jeep owners Club UK, are you member there too ?

It would be good to meet sometime. :drinks:

Hey chris. No im not a member of any clubs. I just do my own thing. Far too many land rover nerds here in the UK (I used to be one too! thankfully learned the error of my ways! Haha) Yeah when the jk swap is done ill be happy to meet up. I do all the mods myself and thinking of starting my own jeep orientated garage. In Cambridgeshire (where I live).

Hi,

I went to London many times for work but I never visited anything there as I am not a city person. I used to live in Paris and hated it.

So if you want to visit places in London Sorry but you will get more help from Google than from me I'm afraid. :dont_know:

Wish you a great time there though.

Chris

Hi Ollie,

I couldn't agree more with you!! In UK it's 90% Land Rover and their narrow minded owners. We can't even find a Jeep magazine in UK but there is half a dozen for Land Rovers and the likes!

Starting your own Jeep Garage ? I know a few Jeep owners who struggle to find decent mechanics in their area so that might be a good idea, and if you specialise in the off roading preparation you could become quickly popular.

Do you drive to go to work in Gravesend? If that's the case if you ever take your JK with you someday we could arrange to meet there otherwise if there was a Jeep event in Cambridgeshire sometime that would give me an excuse to go your way.

Notice my Avatar!? No radius arms! Land rovers biggest flaw! A cheap and easy way to locate the front axle which is hugely detrimental to there off road ability. My JKU leaves land rover owners jaws on the flaw everywhere I go off road. No sway bars front or rear. That was even while my traction control was dead and before I got the rear detroit locker. No substitute for the jeep quadra link suspension.
