Hey guys! well I've been poking around here for a few months now, and come to realize a few things. 1) I NEED to move out west and get to Colorado, and the Serrias, and Utah!! 2) I wish I had saved y money and gone with EVO for bumpers, (i just didn't know they were out there) 3) Wayalife is the greatest Jeep forum and Eddie makes the best wheeling videos!! :thumb: So I have a few things done to the Jeep already, and I'll lay out my plans.

By all means please throw in your opinions, and recommendations on parts. Like I said there's a lot I wish I had done differently, and have started to change!!

After the untimely demise of my 2001 TJ :grayno: (hit by truck on interstate, bent frame into a U shape... WALKED AWAY WITH A BRUISED LEG!!!) I went with a JK.
Here's where we started in October '12 a 2013 JKKUR Orange Crush with hard top, and heated seats. And first thing I did was drive straight through a river!

PSC/Northridge Brawler Lite for AEV swing arm

Recovery:
Warn MS 8k Winch
The Normal Straps and what not
ARB Twin 12V Compressor w/ tank (portable)
Ready Weld Portable Welder

Driveline:
PR 44 front
PR 60 rear

Lights:
Baja Designs 20" OnX Pro Amber Lightbar
Vision X OEM Fog Replacement
HELLA Headlights replacements
Baja Designs SII for rear

That is a huge build, look forward to seeing it through the steps. I hope you have a FAT wallet!

Yeah.. Not as FAT as I'd like it to be!

So here are a few shots of where we sit today.. 4.5" AEV Lift, AEV Bumpers, Sleeves and Gussets, ARB Diff, CB, trim paint, COI, throttle body, sPOD, had the GOBI Rack on -now removed! And the one shot is what happens to an OEM Diff after a stump thats hidden in the mud!

I'm a fan of the approach your taking on this build. Definitely giving me some ideas for when the warm weather arrives :thumb:

How hard was it pulling and painting all the the trim pieces?

2 sets of 37s and wheels....

looks like a nice build list

Yeah, I do a fair amount of driving on highways to get to and from work, and the BFG AT/KO do great on the road - and in the snow. I will be keeping the 35s I have till they wear out.

And Since my last trip wheeling with rain/mud, I needed a real aggressive tire, and so for now, ill grab some 80$ steelies for offroad, till I can grab a real good set.

Well crawled underneath to do some work today, and found I need to get a new front drive shaft! ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1398040209.185968.jpg ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1398040218.790955.jpg ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1398040247.487499.jpg . So JE Reel 1350 for me.

So now I have two questions (still a bit of a newb) 1) do I need to do both shafts at once? And 2) I plan to re-gear, does the gearing matter with selection of shafts?

Since you have an Unlimited (4 door), front shaft is all you'll need. If you don't do any extreme wheeling, 1310 will hold up. I've chosen to go with a 1350 because for the dollar difference, 1350 is worth it. Gearing won't affect which shaft you choose.

So I am changing from a JK that should be on expedition portal, to one set for a JKX! (Wish I could change the title to RE-BIRTH of CRUSHER!)

I am amassing the parts as we speak, awaiting warmer weather for a week-long install bash!

By the spring I'll have the stubby bumpers and PRs installed! By summers end the cage!
