Cutting your frame!

About to cut the frame to mount my Poison Spyder bumper! Kind of nervous. Anyone done this before? Saw or grinder? Any other advice?

Measure twice or even three times cut once. Sawsall. Paint cut edges!

Use a cutoff wheel then. Is it a rear bumper?

Put the blade in the sawsall backwards it'll cut smoother & allow you to lay the blade flat & follow the line

Well, I personally wouldn't cut a boxed in cross member to install a c-channel bumper but, if you're really gonna do it, a cut off wheel is what I would use as well.

I was thinking it was the front bumper.? Idk? What bumper is this?

Poison Spyder. It's basically a c-channel bumper that's supposed to give you more clearance and does so by requiring that you chop your rear boxed in cross member. Me personally, I love the JK because it's frame is so much stiffer than the old TJ. A big reason why it is stiffer is because of all the cross members. But of course, that's just me.

Yeah. Going with the Rustoleum bed liner spray. Going to do the grill also.

I used that on my corners. Works great. I just used self etching primer, then a can of flat black, then the bed liner.
