Help Me Locate This Part!

Hey Forums!

I am trying to locate a place where I can purchase a 100mm & 50mm M8 1.25 (threaded) rod. I have checked my local Home Depot & called my local Ace Hardware and neither carry it. I would like to try and get it it local to avoid shipping. I am basically creating my own jeep part instead of forking out the $25/e (around $150) total. I estimated this could cost me a little under $4.00 per bolt (hell of a savings). The rods can be over 100mm, I will just cut them I guess. Just cannot be under 100mm in length (for I believe four of them). the 50mm (need two I believe).

Any idea why Jeep is using metric system? Isn't it a US based company, just thought they may hop over. Guess not.

If you have any idea where to purchase it let me know!

Also, I did not check Home Depot/around much for the part in the picture below. But if you know a place let me know!

-Only the black handle part!

Good luck in your search. I was looking for threaded hex bar to make my own sway bar links. Can't find it anywhere.

Length of all thread from the local hardware store. Then cut it to length and add a nut with washer. :twocents:

Maybe try a local steel fabrication shop? I have a local fabricator that I get sheet and plate steel from. They sell all things steel.

Really appreciate it! Well, I am already waiting on two other parts in the mail to complete this project so might as well just get these ship. Thank you!

Any ideas on the plastic knob thing? Second picture.
